Volunteer Choices!

Dear Phellow PHCOEM members,
In an effort to offer PHCOEM members a greater variety of volunteer choices, we are providing you with some new events as well as some new tasks to help out with at some of our long-standing events. This will allow for members to volunteer at events that are meaningful to them or in which you may have a special talent or interest. We have selected events across a wide range of
areas in Eastern Mass. in order to make it possible for more members to offer
their services.

Below, you will find details about our April and May volunteer events. Please consider offering your help at one or more of these events as each of the organizations that we are supporting, have expressed a need for assistance.  Please note that some of the event coordinators have asked us to provide them with a list of volunteers in advance of the event so that they will be able to plan appropriate coverage.

I ask that you email me ASAP at community@phcoem.com or simply reply to this email if you can commit to helping at any of these events. Thank you!

Flip Flops Collection

Hi all!
Flip flop season is upon us and soon, many Parrotheads will be sporting
theirs proudly. There is another group of folks who need to wear flip flops as well–our hospitalized injured or ill troops deployed overseas or back here in the states. PHCOEM has decided that we are the PERFECT group for organizing a flip flop drive for Operation Troop Support, based out of Danvers, MA. Our own Diane Xenelis has generously offered to deliver or ship our contribution so that our troops can receive new, unused flip flops to wear while recuperating. During our First Thirstday meetings in April and May, please show your support by donating a pair (or two or three…) of unused flip flops suitable for men and/or women soldiers. Club Ambassadors will collect the flip flops at both meetings and we will arrange for them to be delivered or shipped. Let’s show the troops how proud we are of their efforts by providing them with a sizable donation of much-needed flip flops to aid in their recovery! I want to thank all of you, in advance, for your Parrothead generosity.
