COVID-19 and PHCoEM

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during this hopefully once in a lifetime event. We all must do our part to help ensure that this terrible virus does not take more lives.

For those members that work in jobs that require you to continue to work during this crisis, I would personally like to thank you. You are the frontline and put yourselves in harms way to help others, for that I am truly grateful to you and your families for your sacrifice. I hope that you are safe and that it doesn't affect you.

So with that being said, I'd like to inform you that for the next couple of months (April and May at least) we will not be holding Thirsty Thursday's and because of the impact on some of our charities, we will not be attending or participating in Special Olympics events for May or June since they have been canceled by the SOMA office. It was a tough decision for them to make, but it was the right decision to make.

Also board meetings for the next couple months will be via email communication only and we will not be getting together, but we will be posting the updates to our website.

I will keep you abreast of the Jimmy Buffet concerts as we get the information from PHIP.

Please follow the advise of Governor Baker and President Trump, let's nip this thing in the butt so that we can get back to a new normal of operation.

As far as the update on the convention, we are waiting for paperwork from the hotel, which may take up to 2 weeks to get. As soon as we have the information we will post it.
